In the finance section of this website, we are providing an overview of different funding mechanisms which can be used to fund European and international youth projects. We are presenting the Erasmus+/Youth in Action and the Council of Europe's European Youth Foundation as the 2 cornerstones for youth funding in Europe. Next to this there is a section with alternatives for fundraising.

Erasmus+/Youth in Action

Erasmus+ is the EU funding programme for education, training, youth and sport. It runs from 2014 till the end of 2020 with a total budget of 14.7 billion euro. The youth section of Erasmus+ is called Youth in Action. It funds projects for and by young people and youth organisations. It has a separate budget and specific project possibilities.

European Youth Foundation

The European Youth Foundation (EYF) is a fund established by the Council of Europe to provide financial support for European youth activities. It aims to encourage co-operation amongst young people in Europe by providing financial support to youth activities. It concerns activities, which serve the promotion of peace, understanding and co-operation in a spirit of respect for human rights, democracy, tolerance and solidarity.
